Col. Horace Chesnutt (at right, in a photo from 1996) began the family business around 1930 after graduating from high school. He was solo in the business until 1963 when Col. Jerry Chesnutt (above left) joined him after graduating from Missouri Auction School. Col. Cody Chesnutt (above right) followed his father's and grandfather's footsteps and joined the team after graduating from Missouri Auction School in 1994. From estate sales to exotic animal sales, there's not an auction the Chesnutts haven't worked. Since Jerry's passing in 2021, Cody carries on the family auction tradition and remains a Kansas licensed real estate agent.
